Testing is a two-step process: developer testing and system testing.
Developers are responsible for testing their own code and turning in bug-free code.
System Testing includes integrated testing of many modules together.
Key Points
Generally, the developer is not the best person to test code as he often does not see his own mistakes. So, generally code should also be tested by another individual, either on the customer or on Software Partners' side.
Deliverables
For other than small projects, a Test Plan should be developed. This is used as a guide for the individual(s) performing System Testing.
